Birch Lake ordinarily gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Don't forget to take a fine little visit to Birch River, and you can stay the night at Flatwoods KOA. The warmest time of the year at Birch Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures all       through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Birch Lake. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Birch River, and Sutton - Days Inn Flatwoods is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Eli Taylor Knob is clearly visible from Birch Lake; if you need a place to stay Microtel Gassaway Sutton is a brilliant choice. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Birch Lake is great! Have a great                  hiking adventure along the Way Back Trail. Hiking along the Park View Trail is wonderful fun.
