Take a side tour to Big Horse Run, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Ripley, Wv. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Ruby Lake Campground is a great site to do that, and Lieu Hollow is a delightful place to go to. A lake close by is Little Horse Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Ripley is a great site to spend a night or two. Through the summer months here       at Big Horse Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Big Horse Lake sink into the 10's. The Riverview Trail is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Big Horse Lake; an afternoon playing golf at Sycamore Creek Golf Club is always a pleasure. You could also explore Rollins Lake since you're here                  at Big Horse Lake; it's close by. Big Horse Lake commonly gets lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Big Horse Lake, so little time.
