It's always fun to stop by Alpine Lake. If you need a place to stay Canaan Valley Resort and Conf Ctr is a fine choice; you'll discover a pretty lake called Hulls Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Albright Campground is a nice place to camp; Hopemont Spring is a good local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Very wonderful scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Canaan Valley, and Snaggy Mountain is pretty and can be seen from here. Dry warm

If you're here at Alpine Lake and you like golf, you can visit Oakland Golf Club, and it's a glorious idea to check out North Branch Snowy Creek. An interesting thing to check out close to Alpine Lake is Mountaintop Vacationland Dam, and Youghiogheny River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Lake is uncomplicated. Camping is available at Swallow Falls State Park, and do go to Terra Alta Lake, it's a pretty lake. So much exciting stuff in close proximity to Alpine Lake, simply incredible. Going for a hike on the Boundary
Trail is always a good adventure, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Muddy Creek. From a rain point of view Alpine Lake is a rather typical place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
