Zalensky Pond is always a pleasure to visit. There's so much to do here at Zalensky Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Paint Rock Spring Campground is a good site for that. From a rainfall point of view Zalensky Pond is a reasonably common location; the month with most of the rain is June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the days of summer here at Zalensky Pond, high temperatures regularly get

| | into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 10's with temperatures at Zalensky Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a fine location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for a perfect visit, Saint Croix National Scenic River is pretty near. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked
Lake, and a swamp like Currey Flowage right next door to Zalensky Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. A good site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Zalensky Pond is St. Croix River, and don't leave Zalensky Pond without first going for a hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail.
