Hi-haven Resort is a tremendous local campground. There's whitewater on Upper Tamarack River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Yellow Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Yellow Lake are in the-10's.       Take a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and if you're here, you could also go to picturesque Buffalo Lake. Yellow Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Log Cabin Hollow Resort is a good site to camp nearby, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a great choice. Yeah, come here to Yellow Lake for a nice time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lower Tamarack                  River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. Yellow Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
