There's so much to do here at Wild Goose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Apple River Campgrounds North is a pleasant place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a splendid location to get some rest; of course, all our national parks are brilliant locations to explore and Saint Croix National Scenic River is no exception.       Big Narrows is a great place to explore; hey, Gotta ski right? Wild Mountain is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Apple River. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great globe it would be. An afternoon playing golf at Five Flags Country Club Estate is always a bliss, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Trollhaugen. Wild Goose Lake is a good location of common rain; June                  is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Lakes? Sure, Parker Lake is in close proximity, and if you need a place to stay Luck Country Inn is a brilliant choice. Through the long summer days highs here at Wild Goose Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Wild Goose Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend St. Croix River.
