Camping at Washington Lake is great fun, Brown's Country Campsite is a great local campground, and not far from Washington Lake you'll hit upon Lily Lake which is a delightful lake. Looking for some flowing water? Try Duchess Creek, and after a long day outdoors Pinewood Cottages is a fine spot to spend a night or two. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Good       hiking is available along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail. For the period of the summer months at Washington Lake highs are commonly in the 70's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Washington Lake dip into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Shawano County Park is a nice campground here, and Shawano Lake                  Golf Club is a wonderful golf course nearby. Washington Resort Cottages is a wonderful site to get some rest, and get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Wolf River.
