Gotta ski! Trollhaugen is a nice spot to do that; Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a splendid local campground. The amount of rainfall that falls at Wallin Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is when it's the driest. Go for a hike on the       Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and not far from Wallin Lake you'll discover Little Mirror Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of St. Croix River in a kayak, and Wallin Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Wildwood Park Campgrounds is a tremendous place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a fine choice,                  and don't leave Wallin Lake without first going for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. Take a side visit to Butternut Creek, and after a long day outdoors Luck Country Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Wallin Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Wallin Lake temperatures fall to the-10's. Just can't get enough of Wallin Lake.
