Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Pike River; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Shangri La Dam is worth visiting since you're here, and Benet Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Camping at Happy Acres Kamp Ground is always a nice experience, and going for a hike on the Tamarack View Trail is always a delightful adventure. Wilmot mountain is a very popular ski area close by, and Voltz Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Old Port Cove Marina is a fine local campground. There are great sites to discover along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail, and why not head up to Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) and strap some skis to your feet.
