While you're here at Voltz Lake you can take a hike along the Tamarack View Trail, and not far from Voltz Lake you'll stumble on Cross Lake which is a picturesque lake. From a rain point of view Voltz Lake is a reasonably typical site; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. During the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's       at Voltz Lake, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Voltz Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) has great slopes and a friendly staff; the Lake Defiance Nature Trail is a good hiking trail close by. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Lakes? Sure, Cross Lake is around                  here, and not far from Voltz Lake you get some magnificent water scenery at Lake Shangri La Dam. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Wilmot mountain, and Old Port Cove Marina is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a splendid choice; you'll possibly meet some folks from Racine here. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Spring Valley Country Club, and a nice place for whitewater paddling is Pike River. Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Kenosha is a wonderful place to get some rest.
