You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Villard Lake. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi is a great place to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Chippewa River - West Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a delightful place to get some rest; you can stay the night at Windfall Lake Camping.       You can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Christie Mountain; you can go for a hike on the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail. Brunet River is a stream that you may run into during your stay, and don't leave Villard Lake without first going for a hike along the Serley Camp Trail. There's magnificent hiking along the Hardwood Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Villard Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September,                  and February is when it's the driest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Villard Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blueberry Campground, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Chippewa River. At Villard Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
