    A visit to Upper North Fork Flowage is always a good idea. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Paulson Flowage is a nearby lake that you could stop at; why not camp at Paint Rock Spring Campground if you're here at Upper North Fork Flowage. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. Upper North Fork Flowage gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; June is when you get the most rain  
   here; February is when it's the driest.
There are some magnificent whitewater spots on St. Croix River, and if you came for an overnight stay Riverview Campground is a pleasant location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a glorious spot to get some rest; while you're here, you could also take a look at gorgeous Sandberg Flowage. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake, and if time allows, Saint Croix National Scenic
 
               River is a national park worth a visit.
Through the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Upper North Fork Flowage. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Upper North Fork Flowage temperatures sink to the-10's. Take a hike on the Markville Snowmobile Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Lower Tamarack River.
