Hiking along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is brilliant fun. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Tyra Lake has to offer, you can camp at Raft 'n Rest Campgrounds. High temperatures at Tyra Lake during the summer       months are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Tyra Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. Going for a hike along the Eds Lake Trail System will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Tyra Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Jesse's wolf River Lodge is a wonderful place to camp nearby. A great nearby hotel is Days Inn of Antigo,                  and drift down the rapids of Wolf River in a kayak. The yearly precipitation here at Tyra Lake is about average; most of the rain falls throughout September; the driest of the months is February.
