A good close by hotel is Americinn Lodge Ladysmith, and Chippewa Flowage 763 is a tremendous lake nearby. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Lakes? Sure, Lake Chippewa is nearby, and don't leave Two Axe Lake without first going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Chippewa River - West Fork close to Two Axe Lake; camping at       Chippewa River Campground is always a great experience. For the duration of the warm months, highs usually are in the 70's at Two Axe Lake with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Two Axe Lake. There's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Winter Dam near Two Axe Lake, and there are glorious spots to explore along the Black Lake Trail. A quick tour to East Fork Chippewa                  River next to Two Axe Lake is a splendid idea, and going for a hike on the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. From a rainfall point of view Two Axe Lake is a pretty typical location; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February.
