     Why not camp at Ridgewood Campground since you're here at Twin Lakes, and a beautiful lake like Bakers Lake is a splendid site to stop by. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Soar down the rapids of Eau Claire River in a kayak; after a long day outdoors Point Motel is a  
   great spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. During your journey to Twin Lakes you'll meet some folks from Stevens Point for sure, and Glisezinski Lake is a magnificent lake close by. All through the warmest time of the year at Twin Lakes temperatures are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Twin Lakes.
 
               Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn STEVENS POINT - CONVENTION CTR; if you came for an overnight stay River's Edge Campground is a wonderful spot to camp.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....

The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest! Only 3 hrs from Milwaukee!!!
