Good hiking is available along the North Country Trail, and camping is available at       Wildwood Campground. From a rainfall point of view Twin Lakes is a relatively typical place; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. You definitely must love Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Virgin Pine Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and you'll find a picturesque lake called Wanoka Lake.
