Amherst Millpond 90 is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a great nearby hotel is Village Inn Motel. Amherst Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and camping at Family Frontier Campground is always a fine experience. Camping is available at Hartman Creek State Park, and Comfort Suites Foxfire is a glorious site to get some rest. All the outdoors exciting stuff next to Turtle Lake will keep you coming back over       and over. People from Stevens Point love to come to Turtle Lake. Through the long summer days highs here at Turtle Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Turtle Lake are in the 0's. Turtle Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is                  so wonderful.
