If you came for an overnight stay Oconton County Park Campground is a nice place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lakewood Lodge. Through the summertime months at Turtle Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Turtle       Lake plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Willowbreeze Lakefront Cottage is a tremendous choice, and there's magnificent hiking along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail. Founder Lake is a great lake near Turtle Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Turtle Lake; Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is a splendid local trail. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Oconto River - North Branch; why not camp at Bagley Rapids                  Campground since you're here at Turtle Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do right next door to Turtle Lake. A quick trip to First South Branch Oconto River near Turtle Lake is a good idea.
