    Many people like to go to Tuma Lake. There's so much to do here at Tuma Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Maple View Campsite is a tremendous spot for that. If you need a place to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - MANITOWOC is a brilliant choice, and if you're here, you could also explore gorgeous Harpt Lake. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Hidden Valley is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and as expected Kriwanek Creek flows through this vicinity.
 
   All through the months of summer at Tuma Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Tuma Lake. After a long day outdoors Fox Hills Resort is a great location to spend a night or two, and there are some good whitewater spots on Neshota River. Stay the night at Devil's River Campers Park, and Mott Lake is a  
               nearby lake that you could go to.
Tuma Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is June, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Tuma Lake you'll meet some people from Manitowoc for sure; there's whitewater on Devil's River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.

I am the past president of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation and I am also an experienced paddler. I comfortably do Class 4 water and I have done some Class 5. I am not sure if I would recommend that section of Baird Creek for anyone. There is only enough water during extreme flood situations. Most years there is no single flood event that would bring Baird Creek up to paddleable levels. There are a tremendous number of logs and entire trees across the creek. During flood situations the potential to get pinned against or under deadfalls would be very high....
