Trout Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Trout Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Trout Lake throughout the winter ordinarily sink       into the 0's. There's whitewater on Baraboo River for all you thrill seekers, and Trout Lake Dam is a beautiful place, unquestionably worth stopping at. So much fun stuff to do at Trout Lake, so little time. Going for a hike along the West Bluff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and there are some great whitewater spots on Skillet Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Christmas Mountain, and why not                  take a little tour to Gilmore Creek if you're here. While you're here at Trout Lake you should stop by Fox Point; do visit Fawn Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. Gotta ski! Devils Head is a fine place to do that. This place is great, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in close proximity to Trout Lake. Trout Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Arrowhead Campground is a great site to camp nearby; Comfort Inn Wisconsin Dells is a wonderful site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Christmas Mountain Village is a nice choice, and a wonderful lake like Trout Lake 4 is a delightful place to check out. If the weather is brilliant here at Trout Lake, you can go for a hike along the East Bluff Trail, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Trappers Turn Golf Club. Dells Timberland Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and you'll probably meet some folks from Baraboo here.
