You can run the rapids of Chippewa River - West Fork close to Trail Lake; don't leave Trail Lake without first going for a hike along the Virgin Pine Trail. If you came to camp Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a tremendous site to do that; you can go for a hike on the North Country Trail. Camping at Boulder Lodge Resort is always a great experience, and going for a hike on the Rock Lake National Recreation       Trail is always a good adventure. Having a nice time at Trail Lake is easy. Comfort Suites Hayward is a brilliant place to get some rest. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course is nearby, and Marengo River is a nice whitewater spot nearby. The yearly precipitation here at Trail Lake is about average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with                  the least moisture. During the days of summer highs here at Trail Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
