The warmest time of the year at Thorn Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's; night lows at Thorn Lake during the wintertime generally sink into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Little Wolf River is a great whitewater spot right next door to Thorn Lake, and camping       at Thorn Lake is glorious fun, Family Frontier Campground is a glorious local campground. People from Stevens Point love to come to Thorn Lake; not far from Thorn Lake you'll stumble on Foster Lake which is a wonderful lake. After a long day outdoors Village Inn Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two; why not camp at Hartman Creek State Park since you're here at Thorn Lake. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Suites Foxfire is a nice choice.
