During the summer highs here at Thompson Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. If you need a place to stay Americinn Lodge & Suites is a wonderful choice, and Lake Pepin Campground is a magnificent campground here. Thompson Lake is not the only place nearby,       Wilcox Lake is a nearby lake; an afternoon playing golf at Durand's Rolling Golf Club is always a diversion. Thompson Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Eau Galle Mound is easily distinguished from Thompson Lake; why not take a little spree to Arkansaw Creek since you're here. So many enjoyable things                  to do at Thompson Lake, so little time. Camping at Thompson Lake is fine fun, Edgewater Acres Campground is a fine local campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Red Cedar River.
