After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn STEVENS POINT - CONVENTION CTR is a perfect place to spend a night or two. There are other locations here than Thomas Lake, for example Adams Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites STEVENS POINT is a perfect location
to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The great folks of Stevens Point like to hang out close by, and Ridgewood Campground is a glorious local campground.
Summertime highs at Thomas Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country.
Nordic Mountain has always been considered a great place to learn. It is known as a great family hill at a very affordable price. That tradition continues while changes like improved terrain parks and new glade trails help to keep the skiers and snowboarders coming back.
