Flambeau River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot near Swamp Lake, and let's not forget Mason Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Black Lake Trail is always a fine adventure; a magnificent location to camp here at Swamp Lake is Wolfs Eagle Lodge Resort and Campground. What a location this is for outdoors people. If you need a site to stay Park       Falls Super 8 Motel is a good choice, and Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a splendid place to get some rest. Summer at Swamp Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Swamp Lake. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Mason Lake is one of those nearby; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling                  on Flambeau River - North Fork.
