Lakes? Sure, Blueberry Lake is in the neighborhood. Summertime highs at Swamp Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's with temperatures at Swamp Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. Luebke Lake is a nice lake right next door to Swamp Lake;       dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Phillips. So many cool things in close proximity to Swamp Lake, absolutely amazing. The slopes of Whitecap Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Newman Springs Ski Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Flambeau River - North Fork offers some nice whitewater, and a magnificent spot to camp here at Swamp Lake is Lake Three - Chequamegon National                  Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flambeau River - South Fork, and after a long day outdoors Park Falls Super 8 Motel is a delightful place to spend a night or two. It's a good idea to stop at Bosner Creek, it's near Swamp Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Park Falls Country Club. Camping is available at Mineral Lake - Chequamegon National Forest, and do put some time aside to spend at Fifth Rapids since you're here at Swamp Lake.
