Hiking is a popular thing to do around Surprise Lake; Kimball Creek Trail is a nice local trail, and not far from Surprise Lake you'll discover Clear Lake which is a beautiful lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Surprise Lake; the month with most of the rain is August while February is usually the driest month. Lakes? Sure, Peshtigo Lake is in the neighborhood. Drake Creek is a glorious location to visit,       and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn of Antigo. There's perfect hiking along the Eds Lake Trail System; Joy Harbor Campground is a good campground nearby. All through the months of summer highs here at Surprise Lake reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Surprise Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Surprise Lake is a splendid                  site to visit for more than one day, Rolling Stone Lake Resort is a splendid site to camp nearby, and there's whitewater on Wolf River for all you adrenaline people. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the vicinity of Surprise Lake.
