Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Gogebic Range. Lakes? Sure, Zielke Lake is nearby, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bad River. High temperatures at Summit Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Summit Lake dipping down into       the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Summit Lake, you'll stumble on Knab Lake which is a beautiful lake, and Chippewa River - East Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. So many enjoyable things in the Gogebic Range, just extraordinary. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. There's so much to do here at Summit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Butternut Lake Campground is                  a glorious site for that. It's a wonderful idea to stop at Knab Creek, it's close to Summit Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Park Falls is a great location to get some rest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Really great skiing awaits you at Whitecap Mountain. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Summit Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wildwood Haven Resort and Campground.
