    If you are in Kewaunee county it's always a good idea to stop by Stump Pond. Summertime highs at Stump Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Stump Pond. Any time is a great time at Stump Pond if you fancy the outdoors. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out West Alaska Lake close to Stump  
   Pond, and Stump Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cedar Valley Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground. Stump Pond is a good site of typical rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Alaskan Golf Club is a golf course near Stump Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Fox Hills Resort is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Ahnapee State Trail;
 
               get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Neshota River.
After a long day outdoors KEWAUNEE INN is a great place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Stump Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Kewaunee Village RV Park is a pleasant spot for that. There are other places here than Stump Pond, for example Seidel Lake, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Devil's River.

The trail is long enough to make an interesting tour and easy enough to bring your family for a longer tour.

A really great weekend trip is to pack up the bikes for a camping trip and bike from Casco to Potowotami State Park. Don’t bother buying food to carry; you get to buy it at the end of the ride!

Maybe have breakfast to start the trip in Luxemburg or Casco to start the trip off right and to help the local economy (Casco has a population of 560 people).

Bicycle the trail to Algoma and spend a couple of hours noodling around the maritime village, dip your feet in Lake Michigan, and have lunch at one of the local and affordable Algoma restaurants.

Unlike today’s apples which are mostly highbred grafts, these heritage breed apples are trees started from the railmen throwing their apple cores out the windows of the train.
