Stump Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lake Pepin Campground, and Little Buffalo Slough is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. If you need a spot to stay Wabasha Motel is a magnificent choice, and enjoy a round of golf at Durand's Rolling Golf Club. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Red Cedar River. Americinn Lodge & Suites is a good place to get some rest.

| | There's so much to do here at Stump Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rivway Motel and Camper Park is a perfect place for that. The annual precipitation here at Stump Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Stump Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Stump Lake.
