Good hiking is available along the Lauterman Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Ski Brule in close proximity. There are some nice whitewater spots on Brule River; Brule Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Florence County Park Campground is always a tremendous experience, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites. If you came to camp Stevens Lake       Campground is a perfect location to do that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Kimball Creek Trail. This location rocks, just explore all the fun things to do next to Stevens Lake. A pretty lake like Little Wapoose Lake next to Stevens Lake is a tremendous place to stop at, and there's some flowing water nearby, Lilypad Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here. For the duration of the months of summer here at Stevens Lake, high temperatures                  regularly reach the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Stevens Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stevens Lake; Dendro Eco Trail is a magnificent local trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some wonderful whitewater. From a rainfall point of view Stevens Lake is a rather normal place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.
