Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Chetek, and the Hardwood Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Viking Motel is a great choice. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Star Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Chippewa River, and do pop by Coon Lake, it's a scenic lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Star Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during August, and February is when it's the driest. While you're here at Star Lake, you could also pop by striking Dickey Lake; there's great hiking along the Hickory Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The nice people of Eau Claire like to hang out nearby. You'll need more than a day                  to look at everything Star Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd. Duncan Creek is a great whitewater spot close to Star Lake, and Star Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Loon Lake Camp Grounds is a great place to camp nearby. High temperatures at Star Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
