Hiking along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is splendid fun; at Chippewa Falls WP304 Dam next to Star Lake there are some interesting things to see. If you need a location to stay Country Inn By Carlson Chippewa Falls is a tremendous choice, and O'Neil Creek Campground is a great campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Chippewa Falls Flowage 5555 is a nearby lake that you could visit, and going for a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Visit Duncan Creek while you're here at Star Lake; glide down the rapids of Chippewa River in a kayak. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Star Lake while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. | |

The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Star Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Star Lake you will meet lots of folks from
nearby Eau Claire; camping at Star Lake is great fun, Pine Harbor Campsite is a great local campground. But wait, there's more to do near Star Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Glen Loch Motel; paddling on Duncan Creek is so much fun.
From a rain point of view Star Lake is a rather typical place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
