Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI, and Peshtigo River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Mc Caslin Mountain Campground is a splendid campground nearby, and if you get bored of Spruce Lake you could also have a look at close by King Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling close to Spruce Lake is Rat River, and don't leave Spruce Lake without first going for a hike along the Dendro

| | Eco Trail. Summer at Spruce Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Spruce Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the-10's.

Fortunatly only one of our party decided to ''count fish'' today as their lead guide so humorously refered to the capsize. Unfortunatly the one was me! Believe me, the rest of the family brought that instance up more than once around that evening's campfire. After another hot shower, a meal and campfire beneath the stars, the wife and I slipped off for a couple cocktails at the bar located within the resorts campus. Much to our surprise we saw ourselfs running First drop upon the bar television. Seems that one of the larger groups who were along on our noon trip had requested a video of their exploits be filmed. Now the whole world had proof of my paddling prowess. The next morning we packed our tent in the rain in preperation of driving home. Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge. The Lodge is a central gathering point with a full liquor licence. Our RV sites are being upgraded all the time. We installed a new dump station in 2005. There are 20 sites with electric only.
