There's so much to do here at Spruce Lake that you need to camp here for a while, BriarWood RV Park and Campground is a good spot for that, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Hamilton Falls Snowmobile Trail. Hay Creek Lake 59 is a great lake near Spruce Lake, and close by you discover the Silver Mound Trail which is a good hiking trail. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Eau Claire River. For the period of the long summer days highs

| | here at Spruce Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Spruce Lake dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Spruce Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rock Dam Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Halls Creek. | |

A normal amount of rain falls here at Spruce Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. A brilliant close by hotel is Super 8 Stanley, and there are other locations
here than Spruce Lake, for example Iron Run Flowage. But wait, there's more to do next to Spruce Lake. Iron Run is a pretty stream that is worth going to, and Americinn - Thorp, Wi is a great place to get some rest.

Best to do after the snow melts in april through early may. Don't waste your time any other time of the year unless there has been a lot of rain.... |
