Do stop by Spruce Lake while you're in this part of Wisconsin. Having a good time in the Gogebic Range is easy. Lakes? Sure, Bullhead Lake is close at hand. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Spruce Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 10's; night lows in the-10's for Spruce Lake. There's whitewater on Marengo River for all you adrenaline junkies, and as expected Blaser Creek flows
through this area. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Spruce Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Spruce Lake called the North Country Trail, and Ashland Super 8 Motel is a good site to get some rest.
