Mirror Lake is a great lake in the neighborhood of Spring Pond, and lots of folks from Merrill come here. You don’t have to go far from Spring Pond to see the water at Spirit River Reservoir WP145 Dam; if you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice. Lakes? Sure, Bullhead Pond is close by; for you golfers we recommend close by Edgewater Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Spring Pond; Bearskin

| | State Park Trail is a great local trail; if you came for an overnight stay The Outpost Campground is a glorious site to camp.
And that's not all you can do here at Spring Pond. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on New Wood River, and dry warm beds await you at Tomahawk Super 8 Motel. Muskellunge Resort is a perfect local campground, and Wisconsin River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Muskellunge Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to.
At Spring Pond all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. For
the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Spring Pond. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Spring Pond; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....
