Beautiful Spring Lake has much to offer visitors. After a long day outdoors Shawano Super 8 Motel is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two; if you came for an overnight stay Echo Valley Resort and Campgrnd is a fine spot to camp. Spring Lake is a good location of typical rainfall; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Be careful coming to Spring Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home

| | again. The Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail is a fine hiking trail next to Spring Lake, and there are other places here than Spring Lake, for example Boulder Lake.
There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Spring Lake called the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail; lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Hills Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Spring Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly | |

Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a great spot to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Eds Lake Trail System is always a good
adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Wolf River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by; Boulder Lake Lodge is a glorious campground nearby.

Boulder Lake Lodge
 | Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge. The Lodge is a central gathering point with a full liquor licence. Our RV sites are being upgraded all the time. We installed a new dump station in 2005. There are 20 sites with electric only. | I went rafting there two days ago and I had SO much fun! One rapid, called lower Dells, has cliffs on both sides and we jumped of them. If you jump make sure to jump far out (I hit my knee on a rock) and face toward the light green trees when you are jumping from the right side (when you are facing the rapids) Also, it is fun to swim Dave's Wave which is the second half of the lower Duck's Nest. Make sure to go down Big Smokey! And then pull your raft to the side of the river and go under the waterfall!! So much fun! The only bad thing was the water level was low... so we got pretty scraped up on the rocks.... |
