Lakes are fine; Star Lake is a lake that's near Spring Lake, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course is around here. Spring Lake is a good location of normal rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the days of summer       highs here at Spring Lake get into the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Spring Lake. Not far from Spring Lake, you'll find Emerson Lake which is a delightful lake, and camping at Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is always a glorious experience. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Spring Lake has it all. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked,                  you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River - West Fork, and camping is available at Boulder Lodge Resort. Whitewater paddling is great on Marengo River; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the North Country Trail. A wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Holiday House; going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
