An average amount of rainfall falls at Sportsman Lake; September is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's whitewater on Black River for all you adrenaline junkies; a pleasant nearby hotel is Americinn - Thorp, Wi. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Kathryn Lake Campground while you're here at Sportsman Lake, and let's not forget Brick Creek which is a stream that       you may come across while you're here. Camping at Sportsman Lake is wonderful fun, Chippewa Campground is a wonderful local campground; do take a look at 12 Reservoir, it's a scenic lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Sleep Inn Abbotsford is a pleasant place to get some rest. At Owen City Dam in the vicinity of Sportsman Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the                  Ice Age Trail. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Sportsman Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
