There are other places here than South Lakes, for example Murphy Lake, and going for a hike along the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. The Hardwood Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in the neighborhood of South Lakes. Summertime highs at South Lakes frequently tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The       wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at South Lakes temperatures fall to the-10's. A day on the slopes of Christie Mountain is just what you need, and Chippewa River - West Fork is a great whitewater spot close by. Thornapple River Campground is a great campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a good location to spend a night or two. The annual rain here at South                  Lakes is about average; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest month is February. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at South Lakes. Brunet River is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit, and if you came for an overnight stay Windfall Lake Camping is a wonderful site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Villard Lake is around here, and a wonderful location for whitewater paddling is Chippewa River.
