South Lake is a lake worth visiting. Just can't get enough of South Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Rivers Bend Campground is a delightful place to camp, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pine River. Camping at South Lake is tremendous fun, Iron Mountain Campgrounds is a tremendous local campground, and a good close by hotel is Pine Mountain Hotel & Resort. For the period of the warm days of summer at South Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's

| | while night lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at South Lake are in the-10's.
After a long day outdoors Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain is a great spot to spend a night or two; some of the water close by flows, like Spread Eagle Outlet. South Lake is not the only place nearby, Dyer Lake is a nearby lake; get dripping wet paddling on Brule River. South Lake gets a normal amount
of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February.
