If you came for an overnight stay Lynn Ann's Campground is a good spot to camp, and after a long day outdoors Rustic Manor Motor Lodge is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. South Bay is not the only place nearby, Little Saint Germain Lake 15 is a nearby lake, and you can run the rapids of Wisconsin River. Just can't get enough of South Bay. Don't leave South Bay without first going for a hike along the       Bearskin State Park Trail; Lofty Pines RV Park is a great campground nearby. From a precipitation point of view South Bay is a rather typical location; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. You could also explore Hiawatha Lake since you're here at South Bay; it's nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Black Bear Lodge.
