Why not stop by Snipe Lake if you're passing through these parts. Through the summer at Snipe Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Snipe Lake plunge into the-10's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Take a side spree to Teal River, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend

This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay North Haven Country Cottage is a great choice. Dry warm beds await you at Junek's Bay Cabins. There's so much to do here at Snipe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Chippewa River Campground is a splendid spot for that. You'll | |

need more than a day to look at everything Snipe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Boulder Lodge Resort, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Ross ' Teal Lake Lodge & Teal Wing Golf Club is in close proximity.
There is a pleasant hiking trail next to Snipe Lake called the Black Lake Trail, and Snipe Lake is not the only place nearby, Beaver Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Snipe Lake you can take a hike
along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River - West Fork offers some nice whitewater. Bulldog Springs is a great local attraction, and the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
