Sure, Trout Lake is in close proximity. Take a hike on the Black Lake Trail, and Chippewa River Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Snipe Lake is right by the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail, and if you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Hayward is a great choice. Through the summertime highs here at Snipe Lake get into the 70's.       Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Snipe Lake drop into the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Snipe Lake is a pretty normal place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. Beaver Lake is a pleasant lake near Snipe Lake; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Chippewa River - West Fork.                  There's whitewater on Chippewa River - East Fork for all you thrill seekers; some close by water includes Teal River. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Ross ' Teal Lake Lodge & Teal Wing Golf Club is always a diversion. This lake is so wonderful.
