At Smith Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's       for Smith Lake. Not far from Smith Lake you get some brilliant water scenery at Young America Dam; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Menomonee River. Sure, 206 Reservoir is in the neighborhood of Smith Lake, and the snow is great at Little Switzerland. You could also take a look at 204 Reservoir if you're here at Smith                  Lake; it's nearby, and a round of golf at nearby Hon-E-Kor Golf & Country Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Sunburst, and if you need a place to stay West Bend Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice. Camping at Timber Trail Camp Ground is always a good experience, and there's whitewater on Cedar Creek for all you thrill seekers. There's a great forest next to Smith Lake called Kettle Moraine State Forest; dry warm beds await you at Americinn West Bend. This lake is so wonderful.
