While you're here at Smith Lake you can play some golf at Roynona Creek Golf Course. Lakes are great; Little Round Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Smith Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Pigeon Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Hayward Super 8 Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. Norway Point is close at hand and always nice to take a look at, and not far from Smith Lake you'll       hit upon Indian School Lake which is a charming lake. A good place to camp here at Smith Lake is Nelson Lake Lodge. This place, Smith Lake, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Smith Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Sunrise Bay Campground is a magnificent local campground, and Namekagon River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Smith Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's.
