Slafter Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Coloma Camperland is a good local campground, and do stop at Lake Huron, it's a beautiful lake. If you came to camp Tomorrow wood Campground is a pleasant place to do that; a pretty lake like Shumway Lake is a great spot to stop by. The slopes of Nordic Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Wautoma. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Slafter Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. ...cated in the loft of a barn and can also seat 175 people. We have 3 sports fields available for games, a one acre spring-fed swimming lake, a 5 acre fishing/boating lake, a rifle and archery range, basketball/volleyball courts and 3½ miles of beautifully groomed walking and Cross-country trails.
Program Each day of summer camp we have two morning Bible sessions and an evening Bible chapel. We offer skill times for youth to enjoy archery, riflery, boating, fishing, and crafts. We have a one-hour equestrian program where campers enjoy riding horses on the trails of a local stable. For Junior High and Senior campers we make available the exciting game of paint ball. We also offer tubing down the Mecan River for our Senior High and Family campers.
Other Unique Features
Camp Fairwood has several mature pine plantations that provide a unique atmosphere. Trees are harvested about every 8 years.
The sandy soil at camp makes playing field games possible even right after inclement weather.

...e hill. There is a specially designed lift that tows riders back to the top of the hill while sitting in their tubes. With the addition of the park, Nordic Mountain has opened up winter recreation to everyone.
In addition to the tubing park, Nordic Mountain continues to undergo many changes and improvements-one of the biggest in snowmaking.
Nordic Mountain can make snow on 100% of its terrain including the tubing park. With the improvements in snowmaking technology, they can produce higher quality snow and do so in warmer temperatures. In the past few years Nordic Mountain has more than doubled its snowmaking capacity. The goal is to open earlier, close later, and remain open on marginal winter days. One of the biggest projects to improve snowmaking at Nordic Mountain will serve a dual purpose. The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country.
