     There are plenty of people from Iron Mountain here at Silverdollar Lake, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground, and you can run the rapids of Pine River. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Brule if you're here. There's so much to do here at Silverdollar Lake that you need to camp here for a while,  
   Perch Lake Campground is a nice spot for that. The annual rain here at Silverdollar Lake is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Birch Lake is a lake that's right next door to Silverdollar Lake, and Brule River is a fine whitewater spot nearby. At Silverdollar Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout
 
               the winter highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Silverdollar Lake are in the 0's.
Skiing at Brule Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and going for a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do right next door to Silverdollar Lake. You're probably addicted to lakes, Lauterman Lake is one of those nearby, and hiking along the Lauterman Trail is brilliant fun.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.

As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English. You will wind through an old white cedar stand and see rare quartz rock outcroppings. You will have an opportunity to see abundant wildlife, which considers this area along the Paint R...
