Many people like to go to Silverdollar Lake. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly plentiful here at Silverdollar Lake. If you need a spot to stay Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a nice choice, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Brule Mountain if you're here. Silverdollar Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month is February. Throughout the summer highs here at Silverdollar

| | Lake get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Silverdollar Lake during the wintertime frequently fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pine River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Lauterman Trail. You could also stop at Lauterman Lake if you're here at Silverdollar Lake; it's close by, | |

and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground is a tremendous location to camp, and Perch Lake Campground
is a delightful local campground. What would winter be without some skiing at Ski Brule, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Iron Mountain here. There are some great whitewater spots on Brule River, and if you've had enough of Silverdollar Lake, Birch Lake is close by.

Paint River Hills is truly one of those areas.
The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.
As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English. You will wind through an old white cedar stand and see rare quartz rock outcroppings.
