There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Hidden Valley, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Devil's River. This place is great, just explore all the entertaining things to do close to Silver Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Manitowoc River, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby course is Branch River Country Club. From a rain point of       view Silver Lake is a reasonably normal place; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is February. Silver Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Devil's River Campers Park is a good local campground, and lots of people from Manitowoc come here. During the summer at Silver Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. During the winter this place                  gets highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Silver Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
