If you came to camp Sure-wood Forest Campground is a great site to do that, and why not head up to Granite Peak and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. The smiling people of Merrill like to hang out close by, and get covered with water paddling on Prairie River. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Birkensee Resort is a good spot for that; soar down       the rapids of Wisconsin River in a kayak. Summertime at Silver Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Silver Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. Man, is there loads of fun things to do close to Silver Lake. Rodeway Inn & Suites is a brilliant place to get some rest.
