Why not stop by Silver Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Silver Lake is Baraboo River. Lakes? Sure, Mud Lake is close at hand; if you need a location to stay Portage Super 8 Motel is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Devils Head, and a perfect place to camp here at Silver Lake is Camp Dakota Campgrounds.
